Christmas Across Mt. Juliet

*Judging will begin the week after Thanksgiving, (Depending on the number of applicants) and finish by December 5th.* We ASK that all entries provide photos and videos of their homes/ businesses.
The Parks Board is encouraging residents and businesses to bring "Christmas Across Mt. Juliet" in a new, city-wide Christmas lights contest this Christmas season. The city is hoping many homeowners and businesses participate this season to bring extra joy & Christmas spirit across our community.
The "Christmas Across Mt. Juliet" contest is open to any resident or business location in Mt. Juliet city limits. Applications are due on Tuesday Dec. 5th, and all homes or businesses must be fully decorated by that night. All participants should be willing to share their home or business address and family or business name. We also hope all participants will leave up their lights through the new year so other residents can check out their holiday lights.
City representatives will choose the top 10 and drive to those who signed signed up to participate in the competition. If a home or business is not decorated at that time or light are not on, the application will be voided. Participation is free.

Judging
Homes and businesses submitted for the competition will be collectively judged by the Parks Board.
Winners will be announced on Friday December 8th at 6 PM at the annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony that will take place at the Town Center Clock Tower near Mt. Juliet Road and E. Division St. If possible, we hope all applicants attend the tree lighting.
Photos and videos of applicants, as well as addresses, will be posted to the city website and Facebook pages.
Categories & Prizes
Five winners will be named based on the following categories:
- Home Categories
- Classic Christmas
- The Griswold Award
- Best Theme (does NOT have to be Parade Theme)
- Music Lights
- Judges Award
- Business Categories
- Best Business
Winners will also receive a gift card, Christmas ornament, and yard sign for bragging rights.

Winner(s) assumes all liability for any injuries or damages caused or claimed to be caused by his or her participation in the contest and/or the acceptance and/or use of any prize, and releases the Parks Board from any such liability. The Parks Board is not responsible for: the failure of any entry to be received by the city due to computer failures of any kind, traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, telecommunications, network, electronic, telephone, or mobile service outages, delays, busy signals, or any equipment malfunctions or other technical difficulties that may prevent the city from receiving any entry submission; entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, delayed by computer transmissions, lost, late or damaged; any injury or damage to the entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this contest; or any human errors, any inaccurate transcription of entry information, errors in any promotional or marketing materials or errors in these Official Rules.
Parks Board in its sole discretion reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the City’s website. Failure to comply with the Official Rules of the contest may result in an entrant’s disqualification and/or forfeiture of any prize or prizes.
The contest is open only to legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and reside in the Mt. Juliet city limits or have a business in the Mt. Juliet city limits and is void wherever prohibited or restricted by applicable federal or state laws and regulations. Any decorations that are vulgar or promote violence in any way will be disqualified. Winners will be announced on December 11th at the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. Winner’s addresses will also be made available on the City’s website and social media pages.
