South Mt. Juliet Rd. Widening Info

NOTICE OF VIRTUAL PUBLIC MEETING

The City of Mt. Juliet will host a virtual public information meeting on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 to gather public input on the South Mt. Juliet Road (SR-171) widening project from south of Central Pike (SR-265) to near Providence Way within the city limits of Mt. Juliet.  The limits of the project are shown on the General Location Map below.  This meeting is being held to provide the public with the opportunity to review and comment on the proposed improvements being studied for South Mt. Juliet Road (SR-171).

The project will improve and realign the existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided roadway with bicycle lanes, curb and gutter, and sidewalks.  The proposed project includes two 11-foot travel lanes in each direction, a 30-foot median, two 5-foot bicycle lanes, curb and gutter on both sides, and two 6-foot sidewalks within a 113-foot Right-of-Way.  Project improvements take place along both sides of South Mt. Juliet Road (SR-171).  Illustrations of the proposed improvements are provided below.
