The flashing yellow left-turn arrow signal is a new traffic management tool designed to keep traffic moving, increase safety and reduce fuel consumption. The new signal features a flashing yellow left-turn arrow, in addition to a red, green and steady green arrow/ The flashing yellow arrow replaces the circular green signal used in the traditional left-turn signal configuration to indicate the need for left-turning vehicles to yield to oncoming traffic and pedestrians.
The City of Mt. Juliet will be installed the flashing yellow indicators on Mt. Juliet Road from Graves Crossing to Pleasant Grove Road, where applicable. this new signal configuration has been installed as part of the City's Adaptive Signal Control Technology project, which is currently under construction.
