Electrical

The following scope is included in this division:

A.         ELECTRICAL SERVICE:

The electrical service shall be 600 AMP, 120/208 volt, 3 phase, 4-wire fed underground from the secondary of the utility company pole mounted transformer. Approximately 120 feet

 

B.         DISTRIBUTION:

Distribution within the building shall be by 120/208-volt panelboard. Panelboard shall be provided with bolt-on type breakers and doors with latch locks.

  1. One (1) 600 AMP, 120/208 volt, 2-section, main breaker panelboard.
  2. One (1) 100 AMP, 120/208 volt, 2-section, outdoor breaker panelboard.

C.         WIRE AND CONDUIT:

All lighting and power wiring will be run in conduit as noted below:

  1. Branch circuits and feeders will be run in EMT conduit where exposed.
  2. Branch circuits and feeders in slabs and underground shall be PVC conduit.
  3. Branch circuits concealed above ceilings and in walls to utilize metal-clad type cabling.
  4. Conductors shall be copper.

 

D.         WIRING DEVICES:

Receptacles and switches shall be specification grade. In the office/conference room area, one convenience receptacle to be located on each wall. In the garage area, one (1) convenience receptacle to be located on every wall section and every fifty feet on large wall spaces.

  1. Twenty two (22) 120 volt, 20 amp, duplex, receptacles located in the office area.
  2. Four (4) 120 volt, 20 amp, GFCI receptacles located in the office area.
  3. Eight (8) 120 volt, 20 amp, duplex, receptacles located in the parts storage area.
  4. Fifteen (15) 120 volt, 20 amp, GFCI receptacles located in the garage area.
  5. Three (3) 120 volt, 20 amp circuits terminated in a junction box. Located in the ceiling between the work bays.
  6. Four (5) 120 volt, 20 amp duplex receptacles for shaft mounted garage door openers each receptacle shall be on its own circuit.
  7. Two (2) 120 volt, 20 amp duplex receptacles for trolly mounted garage door openers each receptacle shall be on its own circuit.
  8. Two (2) Quad receptacles located in the supply closet.
  1. LIGHTING:

Lighting in the office and parts storage shall be furnished by LED flat panel light fixtures. Lighting in the garage area shall be furnished by LED high bay light fixtures. Lighting in the Bulk Oil Storage shall be furnished by LED enclosed strip light fixtures. Exterior lighting shall be furnished by LED wall mount and flood light fixtures. Exit and emergency lighting shall be provided as required by code and will contain integral battery and charger units.

 

  1. Twenty Five (25) 2’ x 4’ LED flush mount flat panel light fixtures.
  2. Twenty (20) LED high bay light fixtures.
  3. Two (2) LED enclosed strip light fixtures.
  4. Eight (8) LED wall mount flood light fixtures.
  5. Four (4) LED wall mount sconce light fixtures.
  1. HVAC AND MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT:

Electrical power, final connections, and safety disconnecting means shall be provided to the HVAC systems and miscellaneous equipment.

  1. Two (2) 208 volt, 10 ton on grade units.
  2. Two (2) 120 volt, HVLS overhead fans.
  3. One (1) 120 volt, ½ HP in line, exhaust fan.
  4. Two (2) 208 volt, 2.5 ton, split systems.
  5. Two (2) 208 volt, 1 ton, ceiling cassette units with one (1) 2 ton condenser.
  6. One (1) 208 volt, 12kw, water heater.
  7. One (1) 120 volt, water drinking fountain.
  8. One (1) 208 volt, 7.5 HP, air compressor.
  9. Two (2) 208 volt, hydraulic, vehicle lift systems.
  10. Four (4) 208 volt, 50 amp, welding receptacle stations.
  1. Telephone-Internet: A 1 inch orange Plenum rated conduit shall be installed from a pull box located next the electrical service running above the ceiling to a junction box located in the supply closet. Conduit shall have a pull rope installed.
  2. Grounding:

A grounding electrode system as required by code shall be provided.

  1. FIRE ALARM: Not included. 
  2. PAGING SYSTEM: Not included. 
  3. SECURITY SYSTEM: Not included.
  4. TEMPORARY POWER:

Temporary lighting and power for the construction of the new facility shall be provided. 

  1. PERMITS AND FEES:

The City of Mt.Juliet will pay any fees due to the city of Mt.Juliet and Middle Tennessee Electric. The winning bidder will provide and pay for all other necessary engineering permits and licenses.

  1. CODES AND STANDARDS: 

 Electric design and installation to be in strict accordance with the latest                       applicable codes and Middle Tennessee Electric standards.

  1. WARRANTY: 

 

Contractor shall guarantee all work to be installed free from defects in      workmanship and material for a period of one year from the date of substantial completion or from date of final acceptance.
